Digital Matter - WIFI-Beacon/Anchor

Digital Matter Wi-Fi Beacon / Anchor

The Wi-Fi Beacon / Anchor from Digital Matter is a compact and energy-efficient solution for better mapping indoor locations. Ideal for situations where GPS does not work or is inaccurate, such as in buildings, warehouses, or parking garages.

How does it work?

The beacon continuously emits a unique Wi-Fi signal (MAC address). Trackers from Digital Matter (such as the Oyster Edge, Yabby Edge, Manta Fusion, and Barra Edge) pick up this signal and use it to determine the object's position. This way, the location of your assets remains reliably visible indoors as well. Additionally, the beacon is ideal for environments without existing Wi-Fi infrastructure, such as new construction projects. Its compact design makes it easy to place the beacons both indoors and outdoors.

Advantages

• Reliable indoor location determination – works where GPS has no coverage.
• Long battery life – often more than a year without replacement.
• Easy installation – attach with magnets, glue, or screws.
• Safe – the beacon does not connect to networks, but only transmits a signal.
• Compatible with Digital Matter trackers that support Wi-Fi sniffing.

Applications

• Warehouses and distribution centers
• Commercial buildings and offices
• Parking garages or underground spaces
• Asset tracking and fleet management
